Riley has a strong passion for music and building relationships with people. He has dreamed of having his own band ever since he started playing at the age 12. He is a multi-award winning musician and songwriter and hopes to continue building his music career far into the future. He makes a consistent effort to keep bluegrass music alive and mimic the traditional sounds of artists such as JD Crowe And The New South, Flatt And Scruggs and Harley Allen.
Cole is not only the oldest member of the band but he is also the most experienced and seasoned musician out of the group. Growing up, Cole toured with his family band "Second Time Around" performing at many bluegrass festivals across the country. His smooth rhythm and high lonesome tenor vocals help create Lone Star Blue's unique traditional sound.
John-Samuel is a very talented, versatile musician being able to play many different instruments very well, especially guitar and bass. He and Riley have known each other since Riley first started playing in 2016. John also has deep roots in bluegrass, having performed many shows in Texas with his duo bluegrass band "The May Brothers" which includes John and his brother Ethan May. John and Ethan now have their own country band known as "The May Brothers and the West Texas Hanyaks" and actively play many dancehalls and venues in Texas. John's old fashioned style and character flow with the band's vintage image.
Sam is an extremely talented multi-instrumentalist and is also very experienced in Audio Mixing and Engineering. Sam is the 2021 Texas State Guitar Champion and 2022 State Mandolin Champion. He also performs with his family band "Red River Reunion" as well as "Bobby Giles And The Texas Gales" when he is not performing with Riley. Sam brings alot to the table with his ability to improvise and create a distinct sound with his style of playing.
